Job Descriptions
- To adhere to responsibilities assigned to and synergize with Engineering Team
- To observe and communicate machine abnormalities or repair requirements to Supervisor/Electrical Engineer for them to plan maintenance/repair activities in advance and ensure that the correct parts and resources are available for the work to be completed.
- To perform the delegated maintenance activities as per Maintenance Plan or daily job assignment.
- To technically and efficiently communicate ALL machine maintenance activities and machine
- breakdowns troubleshooting on the provided log book and/or other communication tools.
- To ensure that post-maintenance or repair, each machine can produce the product within specification through the implementation of the ESE.
- To follow all Health and Safety practices religiously during the maintenance activities.
- To perform assigned Daily Maintenance activities and update the relevant file for documentation traceability.
- To assist Supervisor/Electrical Engineer to perform offline repair of removed items or unit spares.
- To assist Supervisor/Electrical Engineer to provide technical assistance to resolve quality, spoilage issues
- To communicate all follow up issues to Supervisor / Electrical Engineer during daily brief session (DBS) for further action to be taken.
- To assist Supervisor/ Electrical Engineer in performing all improvement projects, trial-runs, new equipment installation/commissioning.
- To perform Quality Check on IBO, Tester, Applied Vision, Prescod and Extractor.
- To assist Supervisor/ Electrical Engineer in managing General store’s machinery spares stocking level and availability.
- To follow safe working and good housekeeping practices introduced through the implementation of the EH&S and FSSC programs.
- To respond quickly to machinery breakdown call during shift and provide speedy recovery of the breakdown.
- To assist or support production team to relieve manpower whenever instructed due to necessities.
- To perform over-time work whenever requested due to shortage of manpower (on leave).
- To perform routine jobs such as Meter Readings for gas, water and electrical panel and replace Honeywell Chart Recorders for all ovens.
- To perform and sustain 5S activities on Workshop, Electrical Panels, Manuals/Documentations and Spare Inventories.
- To inform Supervisor/ Electrical Engineer to raise PM&R PRs for spare parts stock replenishment.
- To inform Supervisor/ Electrical Engineer his OT; shall be in accordance to MOM law and regulations and business requirements.
- To contribute in all aspects of the Plant Engineering to create a safe, effective team to support the production department to achieve its targets.
- Achieving performance targets of the plant set target on efficiency, spoilage and consumption; to keep up with the on job training conducted to further develop and improve skills levels.
- Follow procedures and references to ensure growth of an effective engineering team.
- Key Results Areas
- Safety: Implement a CROWN compliant program. E.g. STOP program
- Productivity: Contributor to meeting the manufacturing targets.

- Spoilage : To reduce below the budget target

Job Requirements
- Certificate / Diploma in Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering.
- A minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment; preferably in Cans manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Skills & Competence:
- Able to use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Good practical technical knowledge.
- Good safety awareness.
- Able to read Schematics and technical drawings
- Good knowledge in Low Voltage (LV) System.
- Experience with Allen Bradley (Rockwell) Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC-5), SLC 500 and SLC 5000
- Basic written and spoken English.
- A Team player who is able to synergize with all team members.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to multi task.
- A highly independent and pro-active individual.
Working Hour: 8:00AM ~ 5:00 PM
Holiday: Saturday (Half), Sunday and Public holiday
