Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field.
- CPA, ACCA or master’s degree strongly preferred.
- 5–8+ years of tax experience (in group company accounting and Myanmar tax laws).
- Strong knowledge of local (Myanmar) tax laws and international taxation (if applicable).
- Experience with software (SAP, SQL,) is preferable.
Job Description
- Manage the preparation and filing of all tax returns (Corporate Income tax, Commercial tax, Specific Goods tax, PAYE and WHT) and other regulatory filings.
- Review tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable laws.
- Check and ensure timely submission of all tax filings (Quarterly and annual returns) and payments (monthly and quarterly)
- Produce accurate Tax Financial Statements within required timelines.
- Maintain documentation required for tax audits and assessments in accordance with tax laws.
- Ensure proper record-keeping in accordance with legal requirements.
- Lead and manage tax audits preparation and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Conduct follow-up audit to monitor corrective actions and management interventions.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards (IAS/IFRS).
- Cooperate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed.
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, and business units on tax-related matters.
- Supervise and develop junior tax staff.
- Provide training and guidance on tax compliance processes.
Working Hours: 8:00AM ~ 5:00PM
